PraDeshta is the name of the company that provided Bangladesh's first commercial E-mail service in 1993. It was established in 1991.

The company is licensed by Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission as a service provider with Satellite Service and Internet Service permission.

The word "PraDeshta" is a combination of two Bengali language words, "Pro-jukti" (means "technology") and "Upa-Deshta (means "Advisors"). In 1991 when I formed the company, we were looking for a snazzy name, and we were technical consultants in the networking sector - so naturally we chose a "technical" sounding name, which meant we were technology advisers. PraDeshta has been recognised by many as a pioneering company in the Asian ICT industry. For a snapshot taken in 1994-5, please read http://www.c2o.org/reports/Report_PAN_Asia_Networking.pdf, which is somewhat dated, but has a wealth of information about what was the state of art then. The company website is http://www.pradeshta.net.
