Title: Actors, free knowledge and gifts - are we all guru's or is it magic?
Subject: Anthropology, Wireless Networking and new social movements. The goal is to facilitate a free workshop/discussion forum with a focus on anthropological themes, research and reflection on the impact of Open Source Software and the community based use of wireless networking technology.
Amongst the themes of interest for this workshop are:
- Democracy and the civil society
- Community or network
- Free knowledge
- Social movement theory
- Cultural change and resistance
- Technology and material culture
- Actor-network methodology
- Globalisation and the local
- Social organization
