- low cost, free software based wireless infrastructure which can provide professional telecommunications carrier grade results such as described in "BMSTDA - Broadband Multi-service Switching, Transmission and Distribution Architecture" available at http://www.freifunk.net:8080/sc2004/wiki/BMSTDA , but to be accurate the technology described is not always dependent upon wireless and can use any combination of wired, wireless, fiber, audio, video interfaces with impressive results obtained already.
