The list of attendants has grown again in the last few days. We are very
happy to welcome people from more than 30 nations arround the globe now.
There will be more than 200 people meeting in Djursland. Here are some
statements from the organizers:
"We hope the convention will become a week of productive and enthusiastic
exchange of knowledge & ideas, a week spent in the spirit of true
connectivity & openness, and, last not least, loads of fun. The
wireless4development track will give everybody a chance to hear about
projects from Mali to Mt. Everest, satellite connections and tin cans,
solar power and human power ... We wish to thank all the organizers &
participants for taking upon them long travels & procedures, and we wish to
thank The Open Society Institute, whose sponsoring has made this event
possible." - Tomas Krag & Sebastian Buettrich (wire.less.dk / the wireless
roadshow)
"Considering that we are comming together from 30 nations around the world,
to exchange knowledge and experience about wireless technology, as an
economical light weight means, to bridge the growing divide in the global
IT-society and bring about growth to communities, which otherwise would be
left behind, I am more than certain that we will have a most inspiring and
splendid time together here on Djursland. We are a crew, now growing from
20 to about 40 people, preparing for a good convention for all of us. And
we are now looking forward to welcome you here on Djursland very soon :-).
Lets get together to sharpen each ones abilities, to be able to go home and
improve the possibilities of a good life for everyone, in each our own
community." - Bjarke Nielsen (Chairman of DjurslandS.net)
