Dear all,

here is a brief update of the plannings for the summer convention:

1. Our server had been unreachable several times between August 1st and
3rd. This was caused by the physical move of the machines from Berlin to
Frankfurt/M and several problems that had occurred to that (see also:
Murpheys Laws). We think, that all problems are solved now and that the
server should be available continously again - at least our ISP said so
;-).

2. We have started launching the programme: Please check out at 
http://www.freifunk.net/sc2004/wiki/ProgramSchedule. This is still work in
progress and will be filled with more and more details within the next
days. If you are planning a speech, presentation or workshop yourself,
please add it to the call for papers section and give us some contact
information, so that we can coordinate it with the schedule.

3. The deadline for registration and payment is Monday, August 30th 2004.
But please don't wait until then. You can make it a lot easier for us, if
you register and pay as soon as possible.

4. There is a danish bank account now for the Danish regitrants. You will
be mailed the accounting details when you register.

5. There is a telephone hotline in Djursland to provide you with local
travelling information and a shuttle service from Aarhus and Grenaa. Please
call them to make appointments at least two hours in advance at +45 602 500
13.    

6. By now, we are awaiting 150-250 people from more than 30 nations arround
the globe. We are expecting the summer convention to be one of the most
international meetings of it's kind in Europe. This is of course only made
possible by the great support from the wireless for development project and
the people from DjurslandS.net. Right back from there, JuergeN was very
impressed by the beautiful landscape in the summer months. People there are
expecting an Indian summer in September and we really want to encouridge
you to stay there for the workcamp to enjoy both: fresh air and free

7. We are planning to rent a bus from Berlin via Hamburg to the Djursland.
It will leave Berlin on late Thursday evening or latest on early Friday
morning. If you need a lift from either of these citys, then please let us
know as soon as possible. Also there might be a bus driving from
Copenhagen. For these plannings you have to provide us with your detailled
travelling plannings until August 15th. Also if you are driving by car and
have some space left or you need a lift, please have a look at
